A Forester sits on the back of Father:
Janardan hated the British soldiers. He called them brutish than British because they exploited the Adivasis living around. Not only they but their employees also exploited the villagers. Once, a forest officer named Yaseen Khan came to Mundalwad. He wanted to cross one hill on the way where his horse was unable to go. The Patil of the village called Mr. Poharya Valvi and asked him to carry the officer on his back. The officer rode on the back of Mr. Poharya and started beating him with a lash which he used to beat his horse. Janardan watched his father being beaten by the officer. He was burnt out with anger from inside. The scars of the lashes he saw on the back of his father but they remained intact in the mind of Janardan Valvi. For him the incident is as vivid today as it was before years. Whenever he remembers the incident his eyes fill with tears.
This forester Mr. Yaseen Khan always humiliated the respected Karbharis i.e. leaders of the Adivasi Community. Whenever he saw people wearing turban he would ask them to clear the shit of the horses. After some days he was charged of exploiting the masses because he used to send his all the salary to his village by money order. Mr. Narendra Birari, the Director of the Consumer Stores at Dhadgaon filed a suit against him. The case was investigated but nothing happened to him.
